Chamber luncheon

Whitehouse Area Chamber of Commerce members and guests heard from Matt Schaefer who is working toward the Republican nomination for the District 6 seat in the Texas House of Representatives during their quarterly lunch meeting on Tuesday. Schaefer took questions from the audience ranging from border security policy to education funding. Incumbent Rep. Leo Berman was scheduled to be present for a debate however the veteran lawmaker was unexpectedly hospitalized.
